Swipe Basketball takes the one-gesture idea of a flick game and stretches it across a set of distance challenges. You are still shooting at one hoop with one hand, but the position changes constantly, and every distance has its own correct amount of power. Get comfortable at the free-throw line and the game moves you back.
Where Basketball Shot is about a single clean gesture, Swipe Basketball is about calibrating that gesture against a moving baseline. A swipe that drops perfectly from one spot will clang off the rim from the next. That shifting reference point is the whole game.
It renders in an extra-tall portrait frame, taller even than most phone screens, which is deliberate: the court is laid out vertically, with your shooting position at the bottom and the hoop up near the top. How to Play Swipe Basketball
Swipe across the screen in the direction you want the ball to travel. The speed of your swipe sets the power and the angle of the swipe sets the arc. The useful range of swipe speeds is narrower than you would expect, which is why the first few attempts tend to overshoot badly.
Bank shots count. The backboard is part of the court rather than decoration, so a shot aimed slightly high and to the side of the hoop will drop in off the glass when a direct attempt would have missed. Experienced players stop aiming at the net and start aiming at the square.
