About Basketball Stars
Basketball Stars is one-on-one street basketball at speed. Two players, one hoop each, and a shot clock that punishes anyone who stands still. Where Basket Random leans on randomisation, Basketball Stars leans on execution: the ball is roughly the same weight every time, so the matches are decided by trick shots, blocks and timing rather than by adapting to a new physics model.
It is the closest thing in this collection to a skill game. Matches are short, the controls are simple to learn and hard to master, and a good player beats a lucky one far more often than in a randomised title.
How to Play Basketball Stars
You control one player and one hoop. Move with the on-screen or keyboard controls, grab the ball when it comes loose, and put it through the basket before the shot clock runs out. In two-player mode the second player has their own set of inputs and their own basket to defend.
The trick shots are what separate a beginner from a good player. A basic jump shot is easy; a shot released while moving, or after a fake, is worth more and much harder to block. Blocks work the same way in reverse — committing early gives your opponent a free lane.
